They are highly intelligent but are nevertheless discriminated against by many usmnt kit witches and wizards. They perform their duties very meekly and with great pleasure in helping their "masters" and doing their housework for them, and thus have an almost servile character. Due to the fact that house-elves seem to enjoy their work, many witches and wizards have taken their existence and their servile help for granted. Parents may send their children to a wizarding school, but they may also continue homeschooling. Wizard parents therefore homeschool their children in basic non-magical subjects such as literature and arithmetic. However, Muggle-borns do attend regular Muggle primary schooling before entering wizarding school, which can be seen as a cognitive advantage. It can be assumed that also internationally the Ministers of Magic of various countries communicate with each other. A house-elf can be fired from a family without notice by giving him or her an item of clothing. Racial conflict is also never an issue, there are witches and wizards of various ethnic backgrounds and the (black) wizard Romeo Wolkenveldt is appointed Minister of Magic in the last book without any comment from anyone.
Fudge also told the Muggle Prime Minister that several of the problems also felt in the Muggle world (such as a bridge collapse and a number of unexplained murders) had their origins in the Second Wizarding War, and that the Prime Minister's new secretary, Romeo Wolkenveldt, was a wizard and Schouwer was. The elderly do not seem to be discriminated against: witches and wizards often reach an extremely old age (Dumbledore, for example, lived to be 118 years old) and are respected in old age for their wisdom. Standard Muggle words such as "telephone" and "policeman" are also twisted by witches and wizards (these words are completely unknown to them) into "feletoon" and "plisiegent". There is no standard tertiary education upon completion of wizard training. The exact degree to which the secrecy and isolation of the wizarding world is ensured varies. This organization plays an important role in maintaining the secrecy of the wizarding world. The Toverexamenraad is the organization responsible for examining students in their fifth (SLIJ.MBAL) and seventh (PUIST) year. Centaurs who come to the aid of humans or otherwise serve humans are ostracized by their herd or sometimes even killed. The herd that lives in Hogwarts Forbidden Forest interacts with humans on a regular basis, and has an on-again, off-again relationship with groundskeeper (and half-giant) Hagrid.
Young people are often not or hardly listened to by the elderly, and the teachers at Hogwarts sometimes treat the children worse than would ever be allowed in the "real" world. The werewolf's status has been worsened by the misbehavior of the werewolf Fenrir Vaalhaar, who attacks and bites children even in his human form. During this season, a new kit was also introduced, an all-red kit. They are fully aware of the wizarding world but do not allow the use of magic in their private lives: for example, they forbid Hermione to magically shorten her slightly too long teeth. Centaurs, beings with human intelligence or even smarter, are feared by witches and wizards because of their proud nature and love of traditions based on their natural environment. Attempts by witches and wizards to dress like Muggles when entering the Muggle world are often downright funny.
It is suggested in the books that Muggles generally tend to view that which they cannot explain as "non-existent". There is no battle between the sexes. Since the most important characteristic of a witch or wizard does not depend on gender, the equality of the sexes within the wizarding community is great. This, coupled with the fact that the wizarding community has spent centuries trying to control the centaur community, has led to the centaurs hating humans. Their half-human appearance has led some members of the wizarding community to refer to the centaurs as "half-human". However, some Muggles seem to know about the wizarding world. In the sixth book, the Minister of Magic is described as introducing himself to each new Muggle Prime Minister and (briefly) informing him of the existence of the wizarding world. The Dursleys are also aware of the existence of the wizarding world.
